Miniature Compression Force Sensor 10kN 20kN FC2D is made of stainless steel based on strain gauge technology which offers 0-10kN / 0-20kN two rated measuring ranges to choose from, compact design makes button type load cell FC2D suitable for compression force measurement applications with limited mounting space. Each sensor comes with a 3-meter-long shielded cable, 4xM2.5 threaded holes located on the bottom make it easy to mount Compression Force Transducer FC2D to a flat platform,you may find Miniature Button Load Cell FC2D suitable for applications such as load distribution analysis, mold pressure measurement, force overload protection, clamping force measurement, assembly force monitoring, hydraulics force control and so on.
Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Button Load Cell FC2D is normally around 1.5mV/V.
Power supply of Press Load cell FC2D is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Compression Type Force Sensor FC2D is normally within 0…+22.5mV.
Example one: Miniature Button Load Cell FC2D-10kN with 1.5mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0mV...+7.5mV.
Example two: Miniature Compression Load Cell FC2D-20kN with 1.5mV/V rated output powered by 10V DC,the output range is -0mV...+15mV.
The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Button Type Compression Load Cell FC2D-1000kg working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-1000kg compression force VS 0-10V output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 1V output corresponds to 100kg compression load, 2V output corresponds to 200kg compression load, and so on.
Example two: Miniature Button Type Load Cell FC2D-1000kg working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-1000kg compression force VS 4-20mA output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 4mA output corresponds to “0” load, 5.6mA output corresponds to 100kg compression load, 12mA output corresponds to 500kg compression load, and so on.

A load cell is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied load.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gauge deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer. The output range of Miniature Button Load Cell FC2D is normally within 0mV...+25mV, signal amplification may be required for most applications, a signal conditioner can be used to get 0~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output for easy data processing.
